So far, we have only discussed what happens in a single round of the Experience Circle. It produces a small piece of KNOWLEDGE and the experience of space, and also takes time. At the same time, we know that an EC reading never stands alone. It results in further unread relations to everything around it – often in large numbers.
The very moment a new piece of information has entered KNOWLEDGE – one more SEPARATION – the entire landscape around it must be understood anew. Cascades of understandings are either confirmed, changed or created. This happens through a complex “game”, which I call attractor dynamics (which has its own equation: the attractor equation, AE) – or the attractor contest, if you prefer; for it concerns which ideas and conceptions are to prevail and hold authority in any given situation – as seen from the relevant perspective within KNOWLEDGE.
The result of this incredibly complex game is what we experience as the world. We experience – physically – the knowledge and understandings within KNOWLEDGE. This has enormous consequences for all of science. It quite simply needs to be understood anew.
This is what the rest of the book is about: the consequences of EC/HE theory.
First, there will be (at least) four subsections presenting the most fundamental consequences of the theory, followed by its more systemic implications:
- Time: How the bands of emergence in KNOWLEDGE are also the "ticks" of time. One emergent step = one tick. Every single microsecond in the universe is stored and can be experienced again under certain conditions.
- Space: What is read through the EC – again and again – is a two-dimensional sinusoidal impulse. But because the reading must necessarily be exhaustive (the O-principle), every possible "side" of the sinusoidal waveform must be observed, and this creates three-dimensional space.
- Qualia: Every EC is the reading of an experienced impulse. This impulse is felt, just as you feel warmth and cold, inertia and weight, smells and sounds, emotions and thoughts. All of these are qualia. When they are read by FOCUS, they are transformed into SEPARATIONS, which are in turn understood to "be something"; knowledge – KNOWLEDGE. All the impulses involved in this understanding form a complex "experiential profile", which is what you actually experience. The word "experience" means a simultaneous combination of qualia and understanding; you feel something and know what it is.
- IDENTITY: All emergent conceptions are also IDENTITIES, each with its own perspective in space, its own position in time and an understanding of "being that IDENTITY". A human being – you – is such an IDENTITY. Understanding how IDENTITIES function and interact is a key to understanding the dynamics of the world and why it is experienced as it is, for these are individual, subjective experiences – always. There is no "objective" world.
- The machinery: Together, these fundamental mechanisms constitute a "machinery" that generates absolutely all emergence and ALL interaction at every level. It is eternal, always bringing development and transformation – yet it is also static, and everything is remembered so that it can be revisited and experienced again. This is not easy to understand, but this is how it is, and I will explain it to you.
All this and more follows from the relatively simple EC mechanism already explained to you in Chapter 5.
Some of these far-reaching consequences are briefly described below, but the fundamentals that will be explained here must come first, in full and in a way that allows you to truly understand them.
I have not yet had time to complete this part, because the theory itself simply had to be released as soon as it was ready – because it is important. The further mechanisms and consequences have been fully thought through and understood, but have not yet been written out. This main chapter is therefore a work in progress.
